Returning for its 13th year, Summer Jam will once again bring the community together to celebrate basketball culture with a weekend of high-energy hoops, music, and food.

This one-of-a-kind festival will immerse attendees in a unique blend of hoops culture, streetwear, live music, and the diverse energy of Melbourne’s dynamic atmosphere. Summer Jam started over a decade ago in Prahran with a grand prize of only $500. These days, the festival is an unmissable moment on the international streetball calendar, drawing competitors and fans from around the world and boasting a grand prize of $20,000.

Speaking of the event, Summer Jam co-founder Daniel Ella said, “Reaching thirteen years of Summer Jam is an incredible milestone for Eamon and me. What started as a grassroots event has evolved into a celebration and destination of culture, community and basketball.”

On court, this year’s tournament will be as action-packed as ever, with both the men’s and women’s tournaments and the Under-21 and Wheelchair basketball tournaments. Some of the best dunkers from Australia and around the world will also be battling in the World Dunk Contest.

Alongside all the on-court action, there’ll be a wide variety of events for fans to enjoy, with food trucks serving food from all over the globe, an NBA2K gaming station, interactive basketball zones, a barbershop, a tattoo shop, a braid bar, and gym competitions.

A number of DJs will spin tunes across the three days, with underground hip-hop acts from Melbourne and beyond hitting the stage. NBA player turned-rapper Lance Stephenson will close out the tournament, presenting the trophy to the winning teams and gracing the stage with a performance.

Summer Jam will run from February 7 to 9 at Peanut Farm Reserve in St Kilda, Melbourne. Tickets are available here—don't lack!
